Your email caught my eye -- I am also from New Jersey originally, so I had to check out your website!
Thank you for including me on your email list. I am happy to provide feedback. I love the clean layout you have used for your formatting; I know exactly how to navigate around your site, and I am not always the most tech savvy so I think it's accessible for a lot of people. Is it translatable to other languages when it detects English?
I would like to encourage you to consider options for removing programs that have had a deadline pass. Students might get confused and try and apply for something that has already closed. I also suggest adding years to your dates to minimize confusion; it might seem self-explanatory, but it might help to streamline a student's search.
Is there a "favorite" list students where students can save their searches? This might be a way to keep them coming back to the website and increase traffic... Or a way for students to keep track of what they have already applied for? I am assuming that students apply through the website provided, but would you want to integrate the applications onto the website so it is all in one place?
I LOVE the idea of bringing programs and opportunities into one space for ease of access. I think this is a wonderful idea and it is executed almost perfectly. I am sure that you are still tweaking and perfecting as you go -- this is a GREAT project and I want to encourage you to keep it up!! As a high school counselor I am always amazed by my students and what they come up with. Be sure to send this out to your local schools, you might even want to send this out to local news teams-- people love to hear about cool things that bright people are doing, so I want you to market yourself and your "product" as much as you are comfortable!!
Best of luck on your journey -- and continue to represent NJ well! Take good care.
Best wishes,

Thank you so much for reaching out and creating and sending this amazing resource out to me. As a School Counselor it is so helpful for me to be able to direct students and families to this site so that they can find opportunities. I love it! I really like that you can search for free programs-that makes it accessible to all students.
You asked for some feedback and other than saying so many wonderful things I have some questions about other search options:
-I wonder if having a program topic for students of color, underrepresented/underserved-for example the MITES program at MIT is looking for those students specifically-of course that means many things, could be women, could be low-income, could be students of color
-I was wondering about a Program Type of Conference or maybe it fits under Summer Program for an opportunity like this: https://www.gettysburg.edu/civil-war-institute/news/detail?id=8a656150-d234-4e17-9b14-811038c07c56&pageTitle=Summer+Conference+Scholarship+Applications+Due+February+15
-How do you find out about opportunities? Is there a way that colleges/universities/other programs/school counselors could easily send them to you, in a form on your website, etc. so that they could be added?
This is very impressive and so useful to students. Once this becomes well known I think that colleges/universities/programs will be looking to add their opportunities to this website. Thank you and I plan to share it with my students. I hope you and your family are well in these unprecedented times.

Thank you for the links and for all the work you put into this site! Wow! I have been working with trying to organize summer programs for my job running a career and college center at a rural public school in California. I have a small spreadsheet of programs, but a deep knowledge of how programs fit into different "types" based on the goals of the programs. I work with several populations of underserved students, and there are many programs targeting at these students. I also work with students as a private college admissions consultant. My son will graduate from Stanford this year in Computer Science, and I first learned about summer programs when he was a sophomore in high school - we lucked into a list from MIT and he attended SSP.
I would love to talk to you about your project. Perhaps we could meet on Zoom when you have time (I know high school juniors are very busy). I would also like to talk to you about the cost of creating a site my school could use where I could post local opportunities as well as all the rest. Very few of my students would consider paying for a costly summer program, and, as rural students, they are a little behind on the motivation to participate in academics over the summer. However, I persist in trying to present opportunities! Thanks again for all your hard work. It's very impressive!

Thank you for reaching out and sending me such valuable information. I will absolutely share your website with parents and students, as they are constantly looking for summer opportunities available to them. I will communicate with my team to see if having a seminar this school year would be possible, this school year might be a little difficult.

I have some recommendations. First include programs related to specific sports such as Volleyball, basketball, soccer, etc as there are many student-athletes that search for this. Second, allow a more general search option by including an "All" option o categories such as state or region and even on category as not everyone is sure what they are searching for and want to have multiple areas at once rather than specific and this will allow them to avoid multiple searches.
